Freestyle Waimea has intense citrus aromas of pink grapefruit and orange with a rich spruce note and light cannabis background.  It's got huge flavour intensity and lots of tropical aroma in combination with a grapefruit forward profile.  That citrus/tropical intensity really enhances a hop forward beer.  Freestyle Waimea pairs well with varietals high in ester-y compounds and terpene alcohols (Rakau, SOX, Motueka), which can heighten perception of the intensity of thiol-driven top notes from Waimea.
